Day off got interrupted by a call-in shift, so coffee time ended faster than planned.

Still got a run in, knocked out some sit-ups, push-ups, and banded triceps work before the shower, then made it to work with three minutes to spare.

Not exactly the slow day I had in mind, but I got the work in anyway.

Made a decision tonight.

JimLunsford.com is staying on WordPress with the Proof theme. We already shaped that setup into something that works, and there is no reason to rebuild the whole engine just because it would be cool.

Bonumark Publishing can sit as a paused experiment.

Bonumark Stream is where the focus belongs.

Sometimes the right move is not starting over. Sometimes it is recognizing what already works and putting the energy where it matters most.

Last shift of the long week is winding down.

Watch tours are on schedule, the jail is settled, and for once I spent more time talking with coworkers than burying myself in projects.

Not a bad way to close out the stretch.

After this, I get two days with my family.

I posted a new note on JimLunsford.com about the kind of friction that does not look like much, but still tests your standard.

A bad wheel, a bad mood, a day that pulls sideways.

None of it means stop.

Got 6 hours and 17 minutes of sleep after a work shift, which is rare for me.

Breakfast is done, coffee is happening, and today is a full rest day. No run before work. No strength session during shift.

After the way my body felt yesterday, that is the right call.

Tomorrow is a day off, and I want the workout to actually count.

Near the end of the shift now.

I’m tired and ready to go home. Blu is usually waiting at the door, and Milo comes running as soon as I walk in.

One more shift after this, then I get two days with my family.

That is the part I’m holding onto tonight.

Got a workout in during shift, but the strength was not there tonight.

Short sleep, a hot run earlier, and a long stretch of training finally caught up. Pull-ups dropped hard, squat form got sloppy, and that was enough information for me.

I still got work in, but I also stopped before pride turned it into something stupid.

Sometimes discipline is pushing.

Sometimes discipline is knowing the session already told you the truth.

Night shift settled into watch tours, so I used the quiet window to keep building.

Bonumark Publishing is through another clean-break install, the private RSS reader is running, and Capsarium is back on my radar because I need my own people database.

Some tools start simple.

They just need to solve the problem in front of me.

Short sleep after night shift, breakfast, coffee, some Bonumark Publishing work, and a hot 3-mile run.

I also started building a small RSS reader because I couldn’t find one I liked.

That is usually how these things start with me. I find a problem, get annoyed enough, then build my own solution.

Almost at the end of the shift.

Today was one of those days where the laptop stayed mostly in its place. I did a few site tweaks early, then the rest of the day was meal prep, a run before work, the job, watching out for the guys on shift, and getting a short lift in when the night finally slowed down.

Not a flashy day.

Just a handled day.

That counts.
