Today ended up being full in a good way.
Earlier parts of the day already got their own posts, so this is the part I do not want to skip over: Kelly and I actually got some time to ourselves.
After my run, I showered and we went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Just her and me for once. No house noise, no dogs, no cats, no grandkids pulling us in five directions. Just a little time together, and I needed that more than I realized.
After that, we went to Sam’s Club and bought meat in bulk so I can meal prep tomorrow for my Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts. Not exciting, but that is the kind of setup work that keeps the harder days from becoming harder than they need to be.
Later, after my strength session, Kelly and I sat outside on the lawn and talked for a bit. Nothing dramatic. Just quiet time, which sometimes matters more than the big stuff.
I finished the night by playing a little Battlefield 6 in the bedroom while she wound down, then I came back out, opened the laptop one more time, and upgraded jimlunsford.net and demo.bonumark.org to the latest version of Bonumark Stream.
That felt like the right way to close the loop.
The code is not just sitting in a release somewhere. It is running on my sites.
Today had work, training, food prep, time with Kelly, and a live upgrade to the system that powers my microblog.
Full day. Good day.
Now the laptop is shutting down, and I am going to read for a bit before bed.
