Released a new version of Bonumark Stream, got a run in, then spent about two hours getting the yard work handled.
After that, I headed to the Brown County Music Center to work security for Get The Led Out, a Led Zeppelin cover band.
Not much to report there. Mostly a bunch of 40- and 50-year-olds drinking and trying to relive the glory days for a few hours.
Now it is home, reset, and get ready for a full shift at the jail tomorrow.
Bonumark Stream themes used to control presentation mostly through CSS.
I wanted more flexibility without letting themes become executable application code.
Theme Architecture 2.0 changed that. Themes can now control validated layout composition through JSON, while Bonumark Stream Core still owns behavior, data, security, publishing, and rendering.

Bonumark Stream v0.6.0 is now available.
This is a big step forward for the project: first-class Profiles, Theme Architecture 2.0, a rebuilt Midnight Ledger default theme, stronger SEO and link-preview boundaries, better Profile image delivery, and more upgrade hardening.
A lot changed under the hood, but the goal stayed the same: make Bonumark Stream more capable without making it more complicated.

I finally got a run in today after four days of being busy, exhausted, or both.
A little over four miles in the rain because apparently the sky started crying Monday and forgot how to stop.
Besides that, it was laundry catch-up day and a lot of time in front of the computer working on Bonumark Stream. There will be a new GitHub release tomorrow.
It could have been tonight, but Pokémon FireRed won.
Sometimes the work can wait a few hours.
Wrapped up a long Bonumark Stream development run.
I started and finished the Theme Architecture 2.0 project and rebuilt the default Midnight Ledger theme along the way.
Hopefully I can get a new GitHub release out soon and update the theme demo to show the changes.
It was a lot of work, but it also taught me a few new tricks for doing AI-assisted development better.
Good progress. Good lessons. Now I am ready to see it out in the wild.

I have a book that needs finished and published, Bonumark Stream is taking more time than I expected while I rebuild the theming system, and my full-time work schedule is going to be heavy for the next couple of weeks.
Something has to give.
The site is not going anywhere. I just have a lot on my plate right now, and I would rather focus on finishing the work already in front of me than keep adding more to it.
Still no new Bonumark Stream release on GitHub. I know.
I decided to dig into the theming system first and make Bonumark Stream more customizable for people building custom themes.
It is taking longer than I expected because I hit a few bumps along the way, but most of those are ironed out now and the work is moving again.
Progress is good.
The release will come when the foundation is ready.
There is no final win where life suddenly gets easy.
There is only today, the next decision, and whether you keep moving.
You will have setbacks. You will lose momentum. Some days will feel heavier than others.
Keep going anyway.
Progress belongs to the person who refuses to stay down.
Two things matter more than everything else in my life: family and fitness.
Night shift at the jail wrecked both. I barely saw my family, my running mileage dropped, and my times got slower.
I finally told my captain how much the schedule was affecting me, and he moved me to noon-to-midnight shifts. It is not ideal, but it gives me a fighting chance to get some of my family life back.
Running is still suffering, though.
Maybe this sounds selfish, but I want both back. I want time with my family, and I want to run like I did before this job started taking so much from me.
I do not think that is asking too much. Am I wrong?
I find myself reminiscing and reflecting more and more lately. My family has even started pointing out how much time I spend doing it.
I turned 50 last month. I know that is not old, and I definitely do not feel old. I think that is part of why I have been looking backward so much lately.
I have lived several different lives inside those 50 years.
I have seen a lot. I have done a lot. I have been a lot of different versions of myself. People, places, jobs, relationships, dreams, and entire seasons of life have come and gone.
Some of those years were good. Some were hard as hell. Some changed me in ways I did not understand until much later.
What feels different now is that I can see all of it more clearly.
Not because I want to live in the past.
I think I am finally old enough to understand just how much life is already behind me, while still feeling like there is plenty left in front of me.
