Cypher accepted a same-day schedule change, repeated it correctly, then returned the old schedule when I asked again.

The first fix passed its tests but still failed after installation. That exposed a bad test that skipped the actual upgrade path.

I traced the migration failure, corrected it, and verified the answer through the installed build.
