Took Kelly and the boys out for dinner, then got out on the bike alone for 13.44 miles.

Nothing hard. Just steady movement, some air, and a little space in my own head after a full day.

Still moving.

The day needed the road first.

Then it needed a little iron.

Pushups, incline pushups, bench dips, situps, and curls.

Nothing fancy. Just keeping the body moving and the standard alive.

I was scrolling the Google feed on my phone this morning, and it was the same thing it always is.

Clickbait headlines. Empty articles. Ads. Stories written to get a reaction before they give you anything useful.

Meanwhile, I keep putting real work into jimlunsford.com that may not get many views.

I’m still going to build it my way.

No bait. No fake urgency. No empty writing just to chase a number.

Hopefully, it reaches somebody when they need it. And, hopefully, over time, it becomes an archive that actually has value.

The day needed a run, so I gave it one.

4.51 miles through Columbus at a steady 9:09 pace.

Nothing complicated. I just needed the road, some effort, and a little space in my own head.

The engine showed up.

The house is quiet now.

Kelly and the boys are asleep. Blu is stretched out in one chair, Milo is curled up in the other, and I got a couple hours of Zelda in before bed.

That is enough for today.

Heading to bed.

I’ve been back to posting Monday through Friday on jimlunsford.com, which means Bonumark Stream and my other projects have been quieter.

That has been weighing on me because building is still a big part of who I am.

But I am also trying to learn that every day off does not need to become another work shift. Some of it needs to be family, a bike ride, dinner with Kelly, video games, and simply being home.

The projects are not gone. I just need to find their place in the rhythm again.

Took the bike out alone tonight and got ten miles in.

No hard effort. No big goal. Just some space, some quiet, and a little time to get my head back.

Sometimes that is the training.

Strength work again today.

Pull-ups, reverse crunches, barbell rows, sit-ups, face pulls, and triceps.

Two lifting days in a row now.

Getting the armor work moving again.

Watching Garrett and Sebastian today, so they came with me on the run.

They rode their bikes behind me for three miles while I kept the pace controlled enough to keep an eye on them.

They probably just think they went on a bike ride with Grandpa.

But they are also seeing what normal looks like.

Get outside. Move your body. Stay together. Do the work.

That stuff sticks.

Good day overall.

Got a strong run in, got strength work back on the board, and Kelly and I went over to Brown County for dinner at Abe Martin Lodge.

The night changed gears when Garrett and Sebastian showed up unexpectedly, so the house is a little louder than planned.

Still, I got the road, the armor, time with Kelly, and a full day lived.

That counts.
