Second day of the pre-basic course is done.
Defensive tactics, handcuffing, and a chance to help teach because the instructors know my background. Came home and got the run in too.
Now I’m shifting gears and getting ready for some family time.
Notes about my work, projects, training, and life.

Some mornings do not need a pep talk.
They need a command.
Get up. Move anyway. Do not hand the day over before it even starts.
You made it through yesterday. That is proof.
Now use it.
Do not quit today.

First day of the 40-hour pre-basic course is behind me.
Got the run in.
Got a new Recovery Standard published.
Got the next two days of articles for jimlunsford.com ready to go.
Now it's time to shut the laptop down.
I’m ending the night the right way: relaxation time with Kelly.
Drift does not usually feel like collapse while it is happening.
It feels small. Explainable. Temporary. Easy to correct later.
That is what makes it dangerous.
One missed standard becomes two. One exception becomes permission. One permission becomes a pattern.
Correct it while it is still small.

First day of the 40-hour pre-basic course is in the books.
Then I got home and put in 3 miles.
Long day, but I’m glad I didn’t let it end with training alone.
Up earlier than I have been in a while, coffee in hand, and headed into an 8 to 4 training stretch this week.
Different rhythm, different kind of tired by the end of the day. Ready to learn what I need to learn and settle into it.
Good, full day.
Built a little. Moved a little. Took care of the yard and the house. Had dinner with Kelly. Now we are calling it early because tomorrow starts sooner than usual.
That kind of day does not need much more added to it.
Rode my bike to pick up my truck from the repair shop, then came home and ran.
The air quality made breathing rough, so it was not the kind of run where you chase numbers. Still got after it and took what the day gave me.
Truck is home. Legs got loosened up. Work got done.
Cypher missed a temporary work schedule even though I had already given it the dates and hours.
The record existed, but the regular rotation was always injected while future overrides could be filtered out. I traced the failure through memory retrieval, date resolution, and correction handling, then tested the fix against the exact prompts that failed.
It now returns the right current, future, and historical schedules.
More context does not automatically make an assistant better.
It can make it louder. Messier. More confident in the wrong things.
That was the work behind this Builder Receipt.
Cypher needed better access to my history, but also better rules for source authority, evidence, timing, web links, model control, and when context should stay out of the way.
More information was never the goal.
Better control was.
