When life gets heavy, your feelings will not always protect you.

Motivation fades. Urgency lies. Stress makes old patterns look familiar again.

That is why recovery needs more than good intentions.

You need structure already in place before the hard moment arrives.

Systems hold when willpower gets tired.

Discipline doesn’t ask if I feel like it.

It doesn’t care about my mood or my excuses.

Tonight, I stuck with the mission anyway.

I did the hard thing.

Again.

That’s how I win.

Good night.

Small Bonumark Stream fix today.

I noticed RSS discovery was pointing readers to /stream/feed.xml instead of the cleaner root feed at /feed.xml.

The feed worked. The signal was wrong.

So I fixed the discovery path, kept /stream/feed.xml as a compatibility alias, and tested the output.

Small fix, but the right kind.

Run is done.

Now it is time to get cleaned up, eat, and point myself toward work.

Some days are not complicated. Put the miles in, handle the basics, and go do the job in front of you.

Worked on Cypher’s model controls today. The old selector showed model names, but not reasoning levels. That made it incomplete. Picking the model matters, but so does knowing how hard it is being told to think. So I split the controls. Model selection and reasoning effort are now separate. GPT-5.5 with medium reasoning is the default. GPT-5.4 mini with low reasoning is the fallback if the selected setup fails because of access, availability, or compatibility. Then I tested it against a real response instead of assuming it worked. Requested: GPT-5.5 Used: GPT-5.5 Reasoning: medium Fallback: false. That is the result I wanted.

Most people do not quit at the end.

They quit in the first few minutes, when discomfort gets loud, the excuse starts sounding intelligent, and the standard suddenly feels optional.

That is the moment to catch.

Do not decide your future while the first wave is trying to talk you out of it.

Long day finally landing.

Some software work, a run, a lot of yard work, dinner with Kelly, groceries for the next stretch of night shifts, more Bonumark Stream work, and a little Zelda before bed.

Nothing fancy about the ending.

Just the good kind of tired where the day actually got used.

Bonumark Stream got a little more private today.

Analytics are working without cookies, visitor profiles, tracking scripts, or outside services.

Media uploads now randomize public filenames and can strip image metadata too.

That matters to me.

Owning the site is one thing.

Owning what it does not expose is another.

Upgraded Cypher again tonight.

The change is less about personality and more about decision order:

Facts first. Context second. Next action last.

I’m teaching it to treat my life like state, not isolated prompts. Local Indiana time is authoritative. Night shift means “today” and “tomorrow” have to be interpreted against waking blocks, not just calendar dates.

Sleep, Garmin data, runs, yard work, project progress, family plans, food prep, and work schedule all change the answer.

The useful part is not that it remembers more.

It is that it weighs the inputs before it responds.

Got some work done on Bonumark Stream today. I’m adding analytics, which feels like the right next piece.

Owning the publishing matters, but owning the feedback loop matters too.

After that I got a run in and slowed it down on purpose. Not every run needs to be a test. Sometimes the win is keeping the rhythm, staying controlled, and letting the work stack up.
